Actively seeking Board Members; Regional Creativity | Culture | Cause
Doing things, a little differently and about to turn 2, the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus (NNFH) has very quickly become the Central Coast NSW’s home for radically inclusive, cutting-edge Multi-Arts & Discourse.
NNFH is a not-for-profit Arts organisation whose vision is to be a regional leader in the promotion of diversity, inclusion, equity and social justice through creativity, culture and collaborations. We are intentionally leveraging the power of Arts & Culture for a more welcoming & inclusive region while driving a broader agenda for transformation that is fearlessly igniting new possibilities for the regions social, cultural and economic success.
As a Human Rights focused organisation we are targeting “diversity as the norm”, increasing exposure to a greater range of artist, audience and community voices and perspectives including LGBTQIA+; Aboriginal & Torres strait islander people, people of color, women, people living with disability, multi-faith, multi-cultural, inter-generational and socially isolated.
As a fresh and innovative start-up the NNFH board operates as a skills-based board (currently 6) with a number of subcommittees and working groups which we also trade as including Central Coast Pride and our annual Coastal Twist Arts & Culture Festival. The Board is seeking to recruit two new Directors as it moves into its third year and now with key stakeholders, assets, programs and community development functions.
Applicants will be expected to be able to significantly contribute to Board discussions, planning and committee work, guiding strategic direction and positioning the social enterprise for long-term success.
We are challenging perceptions of regional NSW and what marginalised communities are capable of delivering. If measurable and far reaching outcomes that go beyond the ticking of boxes excite you, and your keen to roll up your sleeves in the build for happier, healthier, safer and stronger regional communities for all peoples then we would love to hear from you.
The Board is interested in talking with exceptional leaders who have experience in human rights, gender and sexuality diverse community organisations, major events or registered DGR charities. If you are interested in serving on a hard-working board of Directors we are particularly seeking expressions of interest from people with professional skills in at least one of the following:
· Finance (Treasurer)
· Charity governance
· Grant writing
· Arts leadership
These are voluntary board positions and as such no fees are payable to Directors. The board is keen to have as many intersectionalities represented as possible and will be actively recruiting and seeking diversity in its composition, regardless of your location and strongly encouraging applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, trans and gender diverse individuals, intersex individuals and people with disability. Please note that this appointment is until the 2020 AGM to be held in November at which point the appointed member may stand for election.
Expressions of interest are due in by 5pm Wednesday 14 October 2020 and should include a short bio, why you’re interested in the position, what you believe you will bring and a CV outlining professional experience directed to: The Chair via email to; firstname.lastname@example.org
