Seeking Board Members
Doing things, a little differently and about to turn 2, the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus (NNFH) has very quickly become the Central Coast NSW’s home for cutting-edge Multi-Arts & Discourse.
NNFH is a not-for-profit arts organisation whose vision is to be a regional leader in the promotion of diversity, inclusion, equity and social justice through culture, creativity and partnerships as we iintentionally leverage the power of Arts & Culture to serve community interest while driving a broader agenda for change & transformation. As a LGBTIQ led organisation we are targeting diversity as the norm, increasing exposure to a greater range of artist, audience and community voices and perspectives including LGBTQIA+; Aboriginal & Torres strait islander people, people of color, people living with disability, multi-faith, multi-cultural, inter-generational and socially isolated.
Applicants will be expected to be able to significantly contribute to Board discussions, planning and committee work.
As a fresh and innovative startup the NNFH board operates as a skills-based board (currently 5) with a number of subcommittees and working groups including Central Coast Pride and our Annual Coastal Twist Arts & Culture Festival. Board is seeking to recruit two new Directors as it moves into its third year and now with key stakeholders, assets, programs and community development functions.
We are challenging perceptions of regional NSW and what marginalized communities are capable of delivering. If measurable and far reaching outcomes that go beyond the ticking of boxes excite you and you’re interested in serving on a hard-working board of Directors as a leader in radical inclusion and visible diversity for regional NSW then we would love to hear from you.
The Board is interested in talking with applicants who have experience in human rights, gender and sexuality diverse community organisations, major events and registered charities with DGR status. We are particularly seeking expressions of interest from people with skills in at least one of the following:
• Finance (Treasurer)
• Charity governance
• Grant writing
• Arts leadership,
These are voluntary board positions and as such no fees are payable to Directors. The board is keen to have as many intersectionality’s represented as possible and will be actively recruiting and seeking diversity in its composition, regardless of your location and strongly encouraging applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, trans and gender diverse individuals, intersex individuals and people with disability. Please note that this appointment is until the 2020 AGM to be held in November at which point the appointed member may stand for election.
