KING FOR A DAY

Have you ever wanted to explore and develop your Inner Drag King? Drag King Sexy Galexy will guide you through a one day workshop where not only will you have a backstage pass into the world of being a Drag King, but you will also have the opportunity to showcase your new or developed alter ego in a emerging Drag Showcase that night at the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus @ Ettalong Beach before a larger than life Drag spectacular performance space for you later in the year.

Naughty Noodle Fun Haus are collaborating over Mardi Gras Month with Melbourne based professional Drag King Sexy Galexy to bring  his world famous “King For A Day!” workshop to the Central Coast. Yes the Original Glamourboi Sexy Galexy invites you to be “King For A Day!”

Here you’ll get to explore and develop your inner King in a one-day workshop which will cover the essentials to get you performance ready – makeup application, customising your costume and character development! You will explore the three essentials of the craft:

10am – 5pm

1. Makeup application – Product choice; how to use creams and powders to shade and highlight; facial hair painting
2. Customising your costume – Personalising garments with adornments; styling for your character
3. Character development – assistance with breaking down of character; performance coaching

7pm – 9pm

At the end of the day there is no pressure to put on a performance – after all you may just want to suit up, ‘stache on and show off your swagger – however if the stage is your desire, then an audience you must have! Family and Friends, Queers and Dears are all invited to this King Cabaret Showcase presentation to cheer you on. Workshop graduates will each receive 2 Complimentary Tickets.

Upon event registration, the attendee will be informed of what is required for participation. The workshop is suitable for the very beginner right up to a performer wanting to up skill and is non-gender specific so however you identify, you are most welcome.
